According to Abu Hurayrah, a desert Arab came and urinated in the Prophet’s (pbuh) mosque. People then came running to beat him. The Prophet (pbuh), restraining them from doing so, said:

‘Pour a vessel of water over the place where he has urinated. You have been sent to make things easy for people, not to make things difficult’
